It’s never been so easy to start a business, a new career or go back to school. There are many tools and resources readily accessible to start and turn your passion into a wealth generator.
Do you feel like a hamster on a wheel? Your head spinning with so many ideas; dreaming of all this success you’re hearing about. Yet, you can’t figure it out like all the Facebook or Instagram posts you come across. My first advice, stop comparing yourself to others; this is your beginning and no one’s journey is the same.
At some point in our lives, we all question our existence and purpose, so don’t worry you’re not alone in this journey.
Perhaps you’ve bravely started a side hustle or gone back to work or school and you’re working hard; days and nights blend and you’re still not seeing any progress.
Don’t fret, I can tell you keep at it. Behind every seemingly overnight success is the hours; week’s; months or years of iterating to become what you see as an overnight success today.
I’m here to tell you; don’t give up. Tiger Woods winning the Masters this week wasn’t by any means a stroke of luck. His personal and health challenges were well documented and visible to all, but not so much the behind the scenes training preparing him for his big win. A while back, I heard Tonia Jahshan of Steeped Tea Inc. speak and she talked about the following traits of people who are passionate and will go the extra mile to see their dreams come true.
Passionate people are:
- Obsessed
- Don’t Waste Time
- Optimistic
- Early Risers
- Willing to take big risks
- Only have one speed; full tilt
- Talk about their passions all the time
So my advice to you, successful people are passionate about their dreams and would keep at it at all cost, so don’t give up.
Once you’ve decided what you’re passionate about, take the next big step TODAY. It could be as simple as: Creating a FaceBook Page; an Instagram account; creating a landing page, submitting that resume or signing up for that course that’s going to get you to where you want to be.
