The human chain denounces the Iranian regime and calls for change as they stand in solidarity with the women of Iran.
Protesters formed human chains in cities across Canada, Saturday, October 29, 2022 as part of a worldwide “human chain” to join in the ongoing anti-government protest in Iran.
Protests started after the death of Mahsa Amini who died on September 16, 2022 after being detained for allegedly violating the country’s strict Islamic dress code for women. The protests initially focused on state-mandated hijab, but quickly grew into calls for the downfall of the country’s theocracy.
